Equity Community Engagement
Our partners at West Des Moines Community Schools are hosting a Community Engagement Event this Thursday, February 1. This event will commemorate Black History Month with a pop-up museum of African American families in WDM, DEI updates, and a panel reflecting on the Brown v Board of Education decision-70 years later.
The panelists will include Al Womble, Fannette Elliott, Ken Morris, Jr. (Chief Diversity Officer at Ankeny Schools), and David Maxwell (Principal of Valley High School). We hope you can join us for an evening of reflection, community, and connections. All are welcome!
